Victory!  The Governor signed AB 2384 into law on September 13, 2006

Assembly Member Mark Leno:  Assembly Member Leno will be the author of the legislation creating the "Healthy Purchase" Pilot Program.  The goal of the legislation is to increase access to fruits and vegetables in small neighborhood grocery stores and to make fresh produce purchases a smart economic choice for those with very limited food budgets.
