The 2008 "Stampy"®  Awards

The 9th Food Stamp Forum is being held at the historic Crest Theater in downtown Sacramento on February 13th.  Once again, we thought this locale was fitting for an Oscars®-like award ceremony honoring the year's best achievements in improving food stamps in California.

We are asking members of the Academy (you and anyone else who cares about food stamps in California) to help develop the list of nominees for this prestigious event.  Please fill out a nomination form below.  You may make multiple nominations.  Feel free to nominate in more than one category.  You may nominate more than one person/organization in each category (just return to this page to make another submission).

The deadline for nominations is December 3, 2007.  We want to allow plenty of time to allow the Academy to vote on the final winners.  An official ballot of nominees will be distributed in mid-December.

Please note: A special lifetime achievement award is also under consideration for 2008. This award is not subject to a vote by the Academy.

Based on feedback from last year's awards, we want to be sure that this is not a popularity contest but instead truly honors actions and performances to improve food stamps.  To achieve that goal, we are asking that nominators identify the specific actions taken by the nominee to improve food stamps.  We ask that you provide as much detail as possible as the information typed on these forms is what the Academy will see when voting.

NOMINATIONS ARE CLOSED PLEASE SEE the NOMINEES HERE.
