2003 COUNTY PROFILES OF HUNGER, POVERTY AND FOOD ASSISTANCE
Note: As of June 27th, there have been two changes in the 2003 County Profiles. The eligibility numbers for lunch (NSLP), breakfast (SBP), and summer food (SFSP) have been changed. In addition, what used to be "stunted growth" is now termed as "short stature." We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
The 2003 County Profile documents demonstrate the extent to which people are poor, hungry, food insecure, and the utilization of federal food programs in your county. We hope these as educational and advocacy tools can be used with decision-makers, emergency food providers, health professionals, anti-hunger advocates, media, and the general public.
If you have any questions regarding how the data in the profiles were estimated, please take a look at the data methodology that we have used in creating the 2003 profiles. If you'd still like to access our 2002 County Profiles, click here. Please note however, that our data methodology for child nutrition programs for 2003 differs in how eligibility is defined from 2002.
Tip: The profiles are meant to be one-paged documents, front and back. You may consider keeping this format when printing or copying.
